Rashmika Mandanna had a failed debut in Bollywood with Goodbye. Thie film had Amitabh and Rashmika in the lead roles. It was a disaster at the box office and it couldn’t make any noise on OTT either.
Then there’s another Hindi film of Rashmika that she’s been pinning high hopes on. This film is Mission Majnu and this is Rashmika’s second straight Hindi film.
Mission Majnu has now sealed the official OTT release date. It will stream on Netflix from the 20th of January. The same was confirmed a short while ago.
Needless to say, a direct-to-OTT release is the last thing Rashmika would’ve been hoping for when she signed the film. These OTT releases are never ideal for a bidding actress to make a mark in Bollywood. So, the Bollywood hopes are all but gone for Rashmika, at least for the time being.
There’s Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. But the scope for female leads in Sandeep’s films, going by Arjun Reddy is minimal. We should see how this much-anticipated Bollywood biggie pans out for Rashmika.
