Rashmika-Mandanna-Facing-the-Wrath-of-Kannada-ProtestersGoing by the number of films she has been doing in Telugu, we can conveniently say that Rashmika Mandanna is a Telugu heroine now. But, she poked the Kannada sentiment in a wrong way. She said in a recent promotional interview for the Tamil version of her movie ‘Dear Comrade‘ that she found speaking Kannada difficult.

Kannada organizations were angered by her statement and they held protest in front of a theater that was screening her movie ‘Dear Comrade’. They were against the release of Rashmika’s movies in Karnataka. Kannada was her mother tongue and her statement has ignited the sentiments of the people, there.

Ever since, she broke up her engagement with her co-star Rakshith Shetty, Rashmika has been sailing through rough waters. Added to that, it’s a known thing that Kannadigas have strong affiliation towards their language and till recently, they didn’t allow other language films to be dubbed into Kannada.

Hope, Rashmika will take care and be more vigilant on what she says as such sensitive matters might turn out into the worst kind of her nightmares.
