Rashmika MandannaRashmika Mandanna is in the news for the wrong reasons once again. She has been the target of trolls on many occasions in the last few months. And now she landed into another controversy during the launch of a romantic song from her Bollywood film, Mission Majnu.

During the launch, Rashmika said, “Since childhood, romantic songs meant Bollywood songs for me. Whereas South Indian movie songs are more mass masala item songs with a lot of dancing.”

As soon as the clip from this song launch started making rounds on social media, people started trolling her by saying she was degrading south Indian movie songs by terming them as item songs and masala songs.

In the past, Rashmika may have made some mistakes for which she got brutally trolled, but this time she is getting unnecessary hate. South Indian movie songs these days are more about mass numbers with a lot of skin show and hero-worshipping. She might be referring to her own songs in Pushpa or Sarileru Neekevvaru.

Bollywood definitely has delivered better in recent years when it comes to romantic numbers. So Rashmika’s opinion about romantic numbers isn’t completely wrong.

Also, she is there promoting her Bollywood film, so she has to act a little biased towards Hindi cinema. Some over-possessive netizens should learn to take things with a pinch of salt.
