Ranarangam -Teaser - SharwanandThe teaser of Sharwanand’s new outing Ranarangam is out. The actor joins hands with Sudheer Varma for this project which portrays him as a gangster and in the process takes us back to the ’90s.

To sum up the teaser effect of Ranarangam, it is what we call instant gratification. The length is short, the shots are slick, and the overall cut is sleek. The first glimpse is a positive one where it generates an immediate positive response.

However, the problem arises with the actual narrative where things aren’t as good as they seem based on the trailer. We are telling all this due to one person, and it is the director of the movie Sudheer Varma. He specialises in the ‘instant gratification’ varieties. The posters, first look and trailers are more often than not positive. It is when we come to the full-length movie they fizzle out.

Coming back to Ranarangam, the teaser is mighty fine. The visuals and Sharwanand (excellent styling) at the centre are terrific. The rest also look well cast. Only the background score gives a slightly underwhelming feeling.

Ranarangam stars Sharwanand in the lead and has Kajal and Kalyani Priyadarshan opposite him. Prasanth Pillai provides the music. Suryadevara Naga Vamshi produces the movie which hits screens worldwide on August 2nd.
