For the past couple of days, speculations are rife that Rana Daggubati will be replacing Nagarjuna in the coming season of Bigg Boss Telugu. This comes as a strange development, given the fact that Nagarjuna, who hosted the previous two seasons did more than a decent job and there is no logical reason to replace him. That said, Nagarjuna has his hands full at the moment as he has lined up consecutive films, including a spy thriller with Praveen Sattaru and Bangarraju, the sequel to Soggade Chinni Nayana. He might have opted out citing logistical reasons.
It needs to be said that Rana’s brief stint as the host of No. 1 Yaari with Rana could not achieve the desired results. The show never really appealed to all sections of the digital audiences. However, rumors are rife that he is on course for a big upgrade of sorts as he looks set to host the fifth season of Bigg Boss Telugu, which has a much wider reach and has already stuck a chord with the small screen audiences.
The makers of Bigg Boss Telugu 5 have started finalizing the list of contestants for the forthcoming season. We need to wait till the show runners make an official announcement regarding the host of the fifth season to know if Rana will actually be hosting it or Nagarjuna will continue to host his third straight season. It is said that the coming season will be aired from this August.
