The pre-release event of Ustaad Ram Pothineni‘s The Warriorr took place this evening. The film is all set to release this week, on July 14th.
During the event, Ram revealed that before accepting The Warriorr, he had rejected 5-6 stories based on cops. But as soon as he heard the narration from Lingusamy, he was floored. He connected with the emotional core of the film and said immediately yes.
He also revealed that this was the first time he tweeted about getting excited about a project immediately after hearing a narration.
Ram also spoke about the spinal injury he suffered during the making of the film, but the love from his fans gave him the strength to overcome all difficulties. He mentioned that reading comments from his fans on Twitter made him emotional, and he thanked the fans for being there with him through the thick and thin.
Director Linguamy was all praises for his hero Ram. He said if things work out, he is planning to make ten more films with Ram.
The film tells the story of Ram, a police officer who takes charge of Kurnool (Telugu) and crosses paths with a powerful rowdy played by Aadhi Pinnishetty. Besides them, the film also features Krithi Shetty as the female lead and Akshara Gowda, and Nadhiya, among others, in prominent roles.
The film has music by Devi Sri Prasad, which has already become popular. The trade is having good expectations from the film as far as box office performance is considered.
