Ram Gopal Varma created a lot of hungama about the release of his Lakshmi’s NTR on May 1st in Andhra Pradesh. The Election Commission interfered in the last minute and stopped the film release once again citing Model Code of Conduct. Ram Gopal Varma came up with a flawed logic saying the movie can be released.
He cited High Court order which slashed the Writ Petitions saying that since the elections are complete, they are not worthy to be trialed. This is in regards to the petition filed saying that the movie release before elections will hamper the prospects of Telugu Desam Party and will also create Law and Order issues.
As Ramu pointed out the issue is out of context now. But the movie is now not allowed to release based on the order of the Election Commission which bars the release of any Political Biopic until the code is complete on May 23rd. Precisely, a hurdle is cleared for Ram Gopal Varma but the other one does exist.
