Ram Charan gained immense popularity in the North belt with RRR, but the failure of Acharya somewhat came as a dampener. Mega fans have pinned all their hopes on RC 15 being directed by maverick Shankar.
Mega fans are trying to pitch this film as a pan-India project comparable with the likes of Pushpa 2 and Salaar. They are trying to project RC15 as something that will take Ram Charan’s popularity to the next level.
Mega fans want RC15 to beat Salaar to prove Charan is bigger than Prashanth Neel and the KGF franchise.
But the other fandoms are saying that RC15 is no comparison with Salaar. They are saying that Mega fans are getting too ambitious, and their insecurity is making all the noise.
The trade circles say that the ground-level craze of Pushpa 2 is magnanimous, and it is the only film that can match KGF Chapter 2 collections or even go ahead. It would be difficult for any other Mega film to match its hype. They say that even Shankar has lost his form and is just recycling old scripts. So RC15 might not be that film that will match the success of RRR for Ram Charan.
