Actor and producer, Ram Charan has given multiple interviews to press on the occasion of Diwali. While one fails to understand the rationale behind them now, but there are some startling admissions from the star-producer nonetheless.
As Sye Raa, starring Megastar Chiranjeevi is the latest production from the banner, there was a lot of chatter around it. Charan says what he has been telling in the past about being proud of making the historical as a son. It is his gift to father Chiranjeevi and made the latter’s dream come true. However, he admitted to one erroneous mistake on his part as a producer.
Releasing Sye Raa against the Bollywood biggie War was a mistake admitted Ram Charan. It cost the movie big time in Hindi markets, said the actor and wished that Sye Raa would have done better, otherwise.
But, at the same time, Charan was happy that Sye Raa could collect nearly 275 Cr (Gross) from the Southern states alone compared to War’s 300 Cr from all-India. The numbers are sure to create a lot of talk among fans.
Well, the theatrical-run of both the movies has come to an end now, especially Sye Raa. Wouldn’t some aggressive promotions during the run have helped the box office cause, better?
