When we have sympathized the awkward situation Rakul Preet Singh had been in because of the replacement in ‘Venky Mama’ with Raashi Khanna, Rakul seems to be happy with the replacement if we have to go by the reports that surfaced, eventually. One can clearly see that she is doing lesser Telugu films, of late.
Why is Rakul happy with the replacement? Reports say that the role offered for Rakul wasn’t a substantial one and she also has less screen space in Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya’s multi-starrer. But, she signed it giving in to the demand of her fans to do more Telugu films. However, she is happy that she chose ‘Manmadhudu 2’ with Nagarjuna in which she is going to have a beautiful role written by director Rahul Ravindran.
Romancing father in one movie and simultaneously romancing his son in another would be a little awkward anyway. Looks like, the replacement has indeed saved her from the awkwardness. Only when ‘Venky Mama’ and ‘Manmadhudu 2’ come to theatres, we’ll know if Rakul was indeed lucky for being replaced in ‘Venky Mama’ and chose to be in ‘Manmadhudu 2’.
