The entirety of the film industry has come out and spoken in favour of Kamal over the issue of his film Vishwaroopam’s ban declared by the State Government. Shaken by Haasan’s press meet where he spoke about having to leave the country and find a secular place for himself, many of Haasan’s co-stars and friends are gathering at his house in Alwarpet in a show of support and unity.
The people present there includes Bharathirajaa, Vairamuthu, Prasanna, Sneha, Arvind Swamy, Radhika, Arun Vaidhyanathan, Mumtaz, Mansoor Ali Khan, Simbu, Prabhu, Gnanavel Raja, Khushboo, Radha Ravi, Sivakumar, Karthi among others. Actor Prasanna, Sneha as well as lyricist Vairamuthu along with Superstar Rajinikanth were also at Kamal’s residence to show their unconditional support to the actor.
In a previous statement, Rajinikanth had also stated that, “The fact that Kamal Haasan held a special screening of the movie to Muslim brothers meeting their demand despite being cleared by the Censor Board shows his respect for the community.”
