Rajnikanth has been plagued with requests to join the political foray. But since this has not worked out yet, the political parties are taking up a new method. For instance, the Tamil Nadu unit of BJP is pretty insistent that Rajinikanth will speak out in favour of their prime ministerial candidate ahead of the elections. As the national executive member of BJP, L Ganesan told a Tamil Weekly, he has apparently been in communication with Rajinikanth over the phone and has also met some four months ago.
Rajinikantha has quite a big fan following in Tamil Nadu and when he speaks, it resonates with the public. It is hardly a surprise then that political parties want to have Rajnikanth on their side! But again, Rajnikanth’s support for the prime ministerial candidate Modi may prove to be an advantage for the party, but to what extent?
