The last time Rajinikanth collaborated with his daughter Soundarya was for Kochadaiyaan(Vikramasimha in Telugu) and he tasted a bitter failure. The animated action film was a complete washout at the box office. But that doesn’t seem to be stopping him from giving his daughter another chance.
If reports are to be believed, Rajinikanth is set to work under Soundarya’s direction again. It is heard that this project will materialize after Rajini returns to India.
Soundarya has reportedly penned a storyline that suits her father’s larger-than-life image. Rajini liked the basic idea and asked Soundarya to develop the final draft. The senior actor is willing to work under his daughter’s direction again, despite tasting the worst of results with his maiden collaboration with her.
Rajinikanth is presently in the USA, undergoing medical treatment. He will be returning back to India once his condition improves. His immediate next outing, Annaatthe will be releasing in theaters this Diwali season.
