Rajinikanth Announces Political Plunge But Needs To Race Against TimeSuperstar Rajinikanth has ended the suspense over his political future. After a meeting with the representatives of Rajini Makkal Mandiram (RMM) earlier this week, the Superstar decided to bite the bullet. He took to Twitter a little while ago and announced his decision.

“A political party will be launched in January; announcement regarding it will be made on December 31,” his tweet read much to the joy of fans. There is a vacuum in Tamilnadu Politics after the demise of former Chief Minister, J.Jayalalithaa.

The Opposition DMK could not make use of it and BJP is trying to use this scenario in the state where it has no presence. At this juncture, Kamal Hassan and Rajinikanth are testing their luck with their respective parties. Tamil Nadu Assembly elections will happen in Summer 2021.

That means Rajinikanth will set up his party 4-5 months before the election. It has to be seen if the time will be enough or if he will go to the election by allying with any party. Moreover, Rajinikanth is also acting in films. He has one film on floors which is yet to be completed and another film in the pipeline.
