Film lovers cannot forget the master piece ‘Padaharella Vayassu’ directed by K.Raghavendra Rao in Telugu. The movie brought the hidden talent of Sridevi and paved way for stardom in the film industry. All the songs in the movie were super hit and one cannot like to move from chairs whenever the movie comes in the channels. The film was a remake of 16 Vayathinile directed by Bharatiraja in Tamil in which both Rajanikanth and Kamal Haasan acted apart from Sridevi. Kamal played Chandramohan’s role and Rajani did Mohanababu’s role in the original picture, released in 1977. Both the heroes have become silverscreen Gods in the Indian film industry.
After a gap of 36 years, the film is gearing up for re-release in digital cinemascope. The film’s main pillars Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan and Bharathiraja would share the dais at Kamala theatre in Chennai on Saturday to watch trailer launch of the movie. Fans of both Rajini fans and Kamal fans are making preparations at the theatre to welcome their heroes. Their combined presence, along with maestro Ilayaraja, has made it a highly anticipated event that will be brimming with nostalgic stories and fond memories.
