It has been a while since we heard about the Netflix series ‘Baahubali – Before the Beginning’ that would chronicle the character of Shivagami from her childhood as a vengeful girl to a wise queen. Now, we hear that Netflix has scrapped the project.
The people at Netflix aren’t satisfied with the output given by the team envisioned earlier and therefore, an entirely new team is going to take over including a new director Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy who replaced the previous directors, Deva Katta and Praveen Sattaaru.
However, it’s Rajamouli who is going to supervise the project that’s based on the story written by Anand Neelakantan’s book titled ‘The Rise of Shivagami‘. So, the first season would not only tell the story of the rise of Shivagami but also the rise of Mahishmati empire to the statehood.
The scrapped version of the web series of the popular franchise was said to be completed in 2019. But, that’s not going to see the light of the day and therefore, would be reshot entirely with a new cast altogether.
