Rajamouli's Father's Controversial Comments On GandhiA lot is being said about the Etthara Jenda song from RRR. This song features India’s greatest freedom fighters like Sardar Vallabhai Patel, Taanguturi Prakasam Pantulu, and others, but there is no sight of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru.

When asked about the same, Rajamouli‘s father and RRR’s writer Vijayendra Prasad has an interesting and seemingly controversial response.

“In the final leg of India’s freedom fight movement, the British empire asked India to pick the prime minister candidate. While 15 PCC members picked Sardar Patel, Gandhi picked Nehru with his affinity towards the latter. He even made Mr. Patel propose Nehru’s name. If he had any respect for democracy, Gandhi should have announced Mr. Patel as the prime minister. When I did more research on this topic, I did not find a satisfactory answer so as to why Gandhi picked Nehru,” the star writer said.

Vijayendra Prasad implied that these historical facts might be the reason why the end credits song in RRR did not feature Nehru and Gandhi.
