This known that Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad has been accorded with Rajyasabha membership nomination. Now, his previous comment in the context of RRR has stirred a debate between BJP and Congress.
In one of his old interviews, Vijayendra Prasad said “Gandhi and Nehru didn’t have respect towards democracy as the former elected the latter as the prime minister despite the fact that electoral votes of PCCs were in favour of Sardar Vallabhai Patel. Gandhi asked Patel himself to support Nehru for his own personal interests. This is why I don’t value Gandhi and Nehru highly.”
BJP activists are supporting Vijayendra Prasad’s take on the aforementioned historical development.
On the other hand, Congress supporters say Vijayendra Prasad lacks factual backing and his comments make no sense. They are obviously supporting Gandhi and Nehru.
Either way, Vijayendra Prasad has spurred a heated debate between Congress and BJP for now.
