Rajamouli’s forthcoming magnum opus RRR will have a solo release in regional languages down South as there would literally be no competition from other films as the fear of facing the mega-budget movie from Rajamouli will certainly be there.
But, the same is not the case in Bollywood. Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ is slated for the theatrical release at the same time around Rajamouli’s RRR would arrive for pan-Indian audiences. There is a buzz that Akshay Kumar’s movie might get postponed to a later date giving space for Rajamouli’s movie.
It wouldn’t be a big surprise if Bollywood tries to accommodate a solo release after the humongous success like ‘Baahubali, The Conclusion’ which is still the number one in Bollywood despite being a dubbed movie from South. Akshay Kumar is known as a hero who is quite understanding and may give it up to the top director who rewrote history with a regional movie.
