One never knows whether our film makers and star heroes stick to the announced release date because anything might happen in between and a film might get postponed for ‘n’ number of reasons. The audio launch event of ‘Baahubali’ got postponed and Rajamouli expressed ambiguity regarding the scheduled date of ‘Baahubali’s release during the press meet arranged in Hyderabad.
However during the Tamil trailer launch event in Chennai last night, the director said he is planning to release Baahubali on 10th July. As of now, that is going to be the epic drama’s release date until further notified. Though Mahesh Babu’s ‘Srimanthudu’ isn’t coming on the same day, it’s just a week away i.e., on 17th July.
Two big films releasing within a gap of seven days isn’t going to be a good idea for Telugu Cinema business. But for now, Srimanthudu has 12 days of shooting pending and the audio launch event will be planned only after canning the left over scenes. Nevertheless Mahesh is keen on July 17 release but one can never be sure as there is a possibility of postponement if Rajamouli’s aides choose to approach Mahesh and ask for it. Of course, by and large a lot could change eventually.
