SS Rajamouli’s RRR is announced for January 7th, 2022 release as Sankranthi Special. While outside markets are slowly getting back to normal, Andhra Pradesh is a big concern for the team. They are worried if or not AP Government will increase the ticket prices by then.
The Government recently started collecting the necessary data for the implementation of the online portal. The Government is not keen on increasing the rates without the portal. Buzz in the industry is that Rajamouli has asked one of the insiders in the Government about what is happening.
“There is a lot of work to do. Data collection, analysis, fixing prices based on the data analysis, calling tenders to develop the portal, testing, and making it live. There is so much work to do. It may take at least six months from here if not later,” the source told to Rajamouli.
The maverick director is shellshocked at this answer, the rumors in Filmnagar suggest. But given the helpless situation, the industry biggies are in, there is nothing that Rajamouli or anyone can do. In case things do not fall in line, we may see RRR getting another postponement.
