Recently during an interview with a YouTube Channel, SS Rajamouli shared his thoughts and opinions about the various film industries in India.
Rajamouli said, “Malayalam cinema is the best when it comes to telling compelling stories. Their movies excel with a diverse array of stories, subjects, and situations.”
He said that Tamil cinema has more tech-savvy directors whereas Telugu cinema is more commercial. Telugu cinema understands and delivers what the mass audience wants.
He added that Kannada cinema was considered 3rd or 4th grade previously but it is also now evolving with brilliant films like Kantara.
Speaking about Bollywood, Rajamouli said, “Bollywood has become complacent after the corporate companies started investing in their movies. There is a lack of hunger among the Bollywood makers when you already sell your film before it even starts shooting. Most of them are interested in setting up projects.”
