Vijayendra -PrasadWhile there is a lot written about director Krish being disassociated with Bollywood biopic on Rani of Jhansi Lakshmi Bai ‘Manikarnika’ to cater to the commitment he made for Balakrishna’s biopic on his legendary father NTR, it’s Kangana who completed the Bollywood movie and taking away all the credits for co-directing the movie.

Rajamouli‘s father, Vijayendra prasad, the writer of ‘Manikarnika’ was seen blessing Kangana Ranaut at the trailer launch event of the movie held recently. She was found praising him sky-high. In the latest interview, Vijayendra Prasad clearly took Kangana’s side. He said that it was Krish’s commitment to NTR’s movie that made Krish to relieve himself from ‘Manikarnika’. They had to let him go.

That means, it wasn’t their decision but Krish’s decision to walk out of the movie. Vijayendra Prasad seems to have complete trust in Kangana Ranaut and her team. He says that he couldn’t differentiate between the parts shot by Krish with those shot by Kangana though she is new to direction. He lauded her aptitude for direction. It’s understood that the entire team supported Kangana when the film was abandoned, midway.
