Radhe Shyam's Shocking Numbers In Hindi CircuitPrabhas’s big-ticket pan-India outing Radhe Shyam got off to a rather weak start at the box office in the North India circuit. The Hindi version minted Rs 4.65 crores nett on its opening day in Northern India.

Prabhas and the makers of Radhe Shyam did put in their best efforts for the Hindi version. The film was entirely shot in Hindi and several well-known Hindi actors were also roped in. Also, a dedicated Hindi album was designed for the film. However, the openings aren’t satisfactory enough, trade analysts say.

The break-even mark for Radhe Shyam is said to be around Rs 110 crores nett. The film made Rs 4.65 crores nett on its opening day. There is still a really long way to go for the break-even mark.

Bollywood box office experts opine that given Prabhas’s pan-India superstardom, Radhe Shyam should have registered a Rs 15 crores opening or in the worst case, made Rs 10 crores. They say weak promotions and not-so-commercial theme are the reasons behind the sedate start.

On the other hand, The Kashmir Files which got a limited release managed to post Rs 3.55 crores on the opening day. It reported better occupancies than Radhe Shyam in a few areas. The Anupam Kher starter is registering very good occupancies on its second day and it is likely to give Radhe Shyam a run for its money through the weekend.
