Radhe-Shyam-Learning-From-Saaho-Mistakes-Or-Repeating-ThemIf you are feeling dejavu with the promotions of Radhe Shyam, then you are not alone. It seems like a rinse and repeat of Saaho all over. It leads to one critical debate, has the makers learnt from Saaho’s failure or are they again repeating the same mistake and relying on Prabhas’s craze?

From strictly what is out and revealed so far – the title, first look and other details etc. it doesn’t look like the makers have learnt anything. The same mistake of making a glossy Bollywood movie with reluctant Telugu heart (for story) seems to be happening here.

The absence of a music director on the poster points at the makers going for multiple composers again. It is fine as long as the sensibility is local (Telugu). But, with Bollywood ambition, it went wrong with Saaho. Still, music was a manageable aspect for Saaho as it was an action fare. For a love story like Radhe Shyam, it becomes critical.

We still haven’t got complete clarity on the cast of the movie. Hopefully, it is not a repeat of Saaho. But with a sixties European setting, the hopes are not that high concerning the nativity.

The good thing here is the change of genre. An intense romance with less ‘big scale action’ would make for a different viewing experience than Saaho, undoubtedly.

However, if Radhe Shyam is to make the same blunders as Saaho, it is likely to not fare as well as Saaho due to the genre. Also, while it will have post- Baahubali positivity, it won’t be on the same level as Saaho, for the same reason.

Here’s hoping the makers have learnt the lesson and give Prabhas fans a lot to rejoice. If they fail, the wait would long and tough one for the fans, as they would be looking at a new movie in 2023 only.
