Asking to respond about the casting couch issue that is prevalent in the film industry has become one of the common questions a media person asks a film celebrity, these days. Even Raai Laxmi was asked the same to tell if she had faced casting couch.
Explaining her experience in her own words, Raai Laxmi said that casting couch only one of the many issues that newcomers face in the film industry. Freshers are misused, ill-treated and do not get the respect which they must be given for being a female.
Raai Laxmi went on to clarify though she didn’t directly experience the casting couch, she knew the obstacles and treatment meted out for being a fresher. The actress was asked to respond on Sri Reddy’s allegations. But, her response was in general about misbehavior towards women, in particular.
