Following the critical success of Kangana Ranaut’s “Queen”, filmmakers in Telugu filmdom are planning to remake the film in Telugu. The buzz is that a leading producer has expressed interest in the film’s remake. The film may have not turned out to be a commercial successful film, but Queen has attracted the attention of even the masses with its heartwarming story.
Two names have already been suggested for the Telugu remake. The names are Shruti Haasan and Kajal Agarwal, who have been very successful in the recent past and have a good face value amongst audiences. Suresh Babu of Suresh Productions has expressed interest in the remake, but it’s yet to be officially confirmed.
Meanwhile, Queen has collected INR 21 crore in its first week at the box-office and continues to run to packed houses in cinemas. It has even superseded this week’s Hindi release Bewakoofiyaan at the box-office.
