PSPK25 (Agnathavaasi) – Depressing The FansHere is an interesting case and that involves two big films from different film industries. The first one is 2.0 from Tamil film industry and the second one is PSPK25 from Telugu. They define what we often use in Telugu, “Athivrusti-Anavrusthi.” The results in both the cases are same, frustration and depression, to fans.

2.0 unit did grand audio launch, and very recently it was telecasted on TV. All of that, with no real clarity on the release date. We have PSPK25, on the other hand, which still has no promotion even though the release date is locked, and it’s under fifty days.

Keeping specifically, PSPK25 in mind is that overconfidence or laziness of the makers? Six other releases are arriving around the same time. It is not enough if one sells the movie to the highest bidder. Care has to be taken regarding a proper release. When so many movies are coming together, it becomes imperative to get the right hold beforehand rather than playing a waiting game.

The Sankranthi holidays also are at the weekend. It means the makers even don’t get the advantage of an extended week that we had on previous occasions. The only way to overcome all the problem would be to build a massive hype. The combo of Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram has that hype, but to take it to the next level there has to be an additional effort. Not even announcing the title or having a first look, doesn’t give the right impression.

It is always better to not leave things late when it can be appropriately done earlier. The sooner the makers realize, the better it would be for them and the distributors. The industry is reeling with biggies failing big time at the box office. It will be a relief if one delivers. Here we have one film, which has the potential, it would be unfortunate if silly and simple mistakes cost everyone big-time.
