Even though the romantic entertainer, Premam received superb reviews the collections are just about okay. And especially the overseas collections are just hanging in there with okay reports.
The film collected a total gross of $38,690 on Friday taking the total of the film to $661,287 in the US. So the film needs superb collections in the weekend so that the amount will pile up and near the film to its 1 million mark.
Lucky factor for the film is that there are no big releases which hit the screens this week. This has clearly given the film another week as backup. If the film reaches the one million mark it will be a huge achievement for Chay as the film will become the biggest hit in his career.
Back home too the same factor of no releases is helping the film. But the test lies in the overseas market and it would be interesting to see whether the film collects the said amount.
