Big challenge ahead of Shruti!

shruthi haasan premam telugu remake majnu leaked photoShruti Haasan is going to reprise the role of Malar, portrayed by Malayalam actress Sai Pallavi in the ‘Premam’ remake ‘Majnu’ in Telugu. This is going to pose a big challenge to the actress as the character of Malar got such appreciation for the look and performance of the actress that the expectations on Shruti would be much higher.

When the first look of Shruti in saree was leaked online, the actress didn’t receive positive response from the audiences and those who saw the original started comparing it with the look of Malar in ‘Premam’. Though Shruti kept her look de-glam as per the requirements of the character, she was trolled down heavily by the social media.

However, the second pic which leaked online gives hope that Shruti can carry the look as she did in Gabbar Singh sporting sarees. The biggest challenge isn’t just the appearance but the impression the original’s actress has made with her performance.

The comparison is obvious. The chemistry which would work out between Shruti and Naga Chaitanya combined with natural performance only can repeat the magic of the original.
