It’s like ‘Gone with the wind’ when it comes to the fate of our Telugu movies at the US box-office. The year has been terrible for the US buyers and this week’ numbers are negligible and a slow weekend is obvious.
Sai Dharam Tej’s ‘Prati Roju Pandaage‘ grossed $76,339 total from premieres plus day one which is not a bad number for the mega hero who has no US market though the number is anyway negligible. His highest so far was ‘Chitralahari’ that grossed $283 K in total.
Coming to another film, Balakrishna’s movie with director KS Ravikumar, ‘Ruler’, it’s running towards being a big disaster at the US box-office with a total gross of $23,083 coming from premieres and day one figures put together. A lot lesser than Sai Tej’s film’s collections that too aren’t a good number.
So, the ill fate of the newly released recent movies is continuing and only the upcoming movies might prove the new year a better one at the US box-office as 2019 saw the buyers being hurt, financially.
