Prabhas The Biggest Threat For RRRComing Sankranthi is going to witness the biggest box-office clash seen in a long time. Rajamouli’s RRR and Prabhas’s Radhe Shyam are the pan-India films that will be vying with one another for screen space.

Rajamouli has cleared the decks to have a smooth sail for RRR in the Hindi belt. Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi has been postponed from January 6 to February 18. While one would have thought that with this the competition has been moved for RRR, but it is Prabhas who is acting as a major threat.

The craze Prabhas carries among Hindi audiences is huge. One can gauge his popularity with the success of Saaho in North while it was a dud back home. And now it is learnt that a record number of screens have been booked in advance for Radhe Shyam by Hindi distributors.

As per reports, over 3700 screens have been booked so far up North. This is said to be a record number for any South actor and a film to have so many screens allocated after the pandemic. With Radhe Shyam getting away with a major chunk of screens, it would be a tough fight for RRR to hold its ground.

One can’t underestimate Rajamouli as his strategic planning has always been unique. However, with crores of money invested in RRR, the team needs to get screens up North and in Tamil too.
