We may still not have clarity regarding the release date of Pan-India Rebel Star Prabhas’s Radhe Shyam, but it is not deterring its business prospects. The next big project from Prabhas has started its record-breaking pre-release business spree.
The distribution rights for Nellore territory are done deal. JPR Films has bagged the rights for a whopping amount of approximately 4.4 Cr. It is a new record in Prabhas’ career. The previous best is Saaho, and both are not including Baahubali 2.
If the Nellore rights are anything to go by, then Radhe Shyam is looking to dominate Saaho in theatrical rights. The fact that it is doing so despite being a love story and not being a regular action entertainer speaks volume of the stardom enjoyed by Prabhas.
Another critical aspect to note here is that Radhe Shyam comes after disappointing Saaho. Even that doesn’t seem to have an effect. It will be interesting to see what sort of business the movie does in Nizam and Ceded.
Radha Krishna Kumar of Jil fame directs Radhe Shyam. Pooja Hegde pairs up with Prabhas for the first time in her career. Justin Prabhakaran provides the music to the period romantic entertainer.
UV Creations produces the film. A teaser and subsequently the release date update of the film are expected for Valentine’s Day. It is now the only biggie awaiting the announcement of a release date.
