Yash Raj Films, aka YRF, is one of the oldest and most trusted banners and brand in India. In 2020, the production house enters its 50th year. To celebrate the occasion, YRF had planned a grand evening of massive announcements.
Unfortunately, the lockdown due to coronavirus postponed the event. Aditya Chopra, the owner of the banner, has put all things on hold. Secretiveness is maintained, but the porous walls keep leaking some info from time to time.
The latest one hears is that Rebel Star Prabhas who found a Pan-India popularity with Baahubali movies is under consideration for one of their biggies. It is understood that YRF is thinking of bringing Hrithik Roshan and Prabhas together for the sequel of War.
The talks reportedly are going on between Prabhas and the YRF team regarding the project. If it gets materialized, the movie could be the biggest action spectacle in Indian cinema history. Siddarth Anand, the director of the original, is attached to the project.
Prabhas is currently busy with a couple of films in hand. He immediate next is by Radha Krishna, and after that would be the keenly awaited Nag Ashwin epic on Vyjayanthi Movies banner. If a YRF project is okayed, it will be only after these two. One has to see if the War team could wait that long or not.
Apart from Yash Raj Films, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is also hoping to rope in Prabhas for a long time. The actor has so far shown no inclination.
