The regular shoot of Pan-India star Rebel Star Prabhas’s next Salaar has officially commenced. Currently, an action scene said to be the intro of Prabhas, is canned in Godavarikani, Telangana.
With the location being outdoors, there are already leaks from the sets. We have a few pictures and video from the sets emerging online. While leaks usually are a worry, fans and movie lovers have spotted something more, which is creating lots of talk in hushed tones among the fans.
The get-up of Prabhas from the leaked images has a strong resemblance with director Prashanth Neel’s debut Ugramm. The hero of the film too wears a similar output. It has again led to chatter that Salaar is nothing but a rework of Ugramm.
The makers have been asked the same question time and again. They have denied Salaar being a remake. It could be a case of repackaging the whole movie on a different scale not to make it look like a direct remake. Remember, Salaar will also have a release in Kannada?
Whatever it is, Prashanth Neel is sure to mount it on a grand scale like never before considering the resources available at his disposal now. Even if Salaar turns out to be an Ugramm remake, it will be a different experience, for sure.
Salaar is a Hombale Films production. Shruti Haasan plays the female lead. Ravi Basrur provides the music. The mass entertainer is currently slated to hit cinemas for Sankranthi 2022. An official announcement regarding the same needs to be made.
