We have all been taking proper safety measures as Corona threat took many lives. However, gradually, we are getting used to living with Corona threat and also conduct our duties as if it is the new normal.
Director Nag Ashwin sees no point in keeping our theatres closed when temples, gyms, flights, buses, trains, malls, restaurants, bars etc have opened and people are visiting them taking the safety measures.
So, he thinks that it’s time that we can mask up and watch the movies in the theatres as that is the way they are to be watched, not to be passed, fast-forwarded and rewound. Well, it means not on digital and online platforms but in the theatres.
True. A digital experience can never be equal to watching a movie in the theatres on a big screen amidst audiences’ whistles, claps and shoutings.
I'm all for safety, but with gyms, bars, restaurants, malls, temples, bus, train, metro, flights open, it feels about time even movie theaters open…cant wait to mask up and watch movies the way they are meant to be watched…not pause, fast-forward, rewind…
