Director Nag Ashwin has raised a point about saving the theatre business in the Telugu States. Would it be a good or a bad idea if theatres get a license to serve beer or wine in the theatres like in the other countries?
Nag Ashwin mentioned that he discussed the same with Suresh Babu and Rana once. However, after a couple of responses from Twitterati, he understood that this may keep the family audiences out of theatres and so, it would be a possibility only in multiplexes.
He is also concerned if people would come to the theatres when opened or else, wait for a few weeks going. Twitterati felt the need for thermal screening, maintaining proper distance between the seats etc.
Coming to serving booze in theatres, this might lead to various other problems in a country like us. Once the threat of the pandemic goes away, it’s the content of the movies that would be increasing the footfalls not booze opined the social media users.
