Prabhas Can't Afford KGF 2's FlopThanks to the super success of the first installment of the KGF franchise, the second outing, KGF 2 has registered excellent pre-release business. The film was reportedly sold for substantially high prices in the Telugu states. However, KGF 2 is just going on to mount pressure on Prabhas. Wonder how?

KGF 2 was sold for exorbitant prices. There are reports that the film’s rights are valued at Rs 60 crores. If that is the case, then there is a lot of pressure on the film to deliver. Now, Prabhas‘s fans are worried about the same.

“We(Prabhas’s fans) can’t afford another flop. Prabhas already sustained two flops in Telugu states with Radhe Shyam and Saaho. If KGF 2 also fails at the box office, the makers of this film, Hombale Films, who are also producing Salaar will try to cover up KGF’s losses with Salaar. They know full well that Prabhas – Prashanth Neel combo will pull the audience all over and they might try to make up for the film’s losses with Prabhas’s film. This will only add to the already high responsibility on Salaar,” Prabhas’s fan on Twitter commented.

The buyers are now hoping that KGF 2 will build on the platform set by KGF 1 and make it big at the box office. The stakes are very high as KGF 2’s Telugu theatrical rights are on par, or over that of a mainstream Telugu mid-range star’s. The above mentioned scenario is only in case things go south. At the same time, if the film garners a positive response, given the positive reverberation, it is likely to set the box offices across the country on fire and especially so in the Telugu states.
