For Superstar Mahesh Babu, ‘Dookudu’ remains one of the most successful films in which he played a cop. After ‘Pokiri’ and ‘Dookudu’, Mahesh earned fame as perfect fit to play a cop. The energetic, menacing yet captivating look of Mahesh just made him look mind blowing in both the films. 14 Reels Entertainment is remaking ‘Dookudu’ in Kannada as ‘Power’ with Powerstar Puneet Rajkumar playing the lead. The first official trailer of the film has been released.
Lot of action beating the goons and stunts have been included in the trailer. Though Puneet Rajkumar seems to be menacing enough for the goons, he doesn’t seem to match the effect Superstar Mahesh has created in’Dookudu’. Style and class in action is Mahesh’s forte while Puneet pulls it off quite routinely in the trailer. SS Thaman’s BGM also seems to be repetitive and reminds us of rerecording tracks of his previous films. Anyway its good but for those who had watched the original, it’s a bit disappointing.
