Sundeep Kishan‘s Gully Rowdy was released the other day in theaters. It is the only major theatrical release in Telugu along with Maestro on Disney plus Hotstar. However, the movie has tanked big time at the box office without a minimum opening.
The movie has opened a little over One Crore gross in both the Telugu States. This is the least opening for Sundeep Kishan in recent times. The movie is carrying a very disappointing word of mouth due to its formulaic and routine beaten-to-death content. Furthermore, the promotions of the film are totally disappointing.
Sundeep Kishan usually promotes his films aggressively but it is not the case with this film. All these factors have contributed and ensured that already reluctant audiences stay away from theaters. As a result, the openings are poor. The team has pinned all hopes on the weekend for a better turnout.
Now, the trade is looking forward to Naga Chaitanya’s Love Story releasing on 24th for a possible redemption.
