Actress Jyothika’s Tamil movie ‘Ponmagal Vanthal’ that was ready for a theatrical release among her upcoming movies could be the first feature film that could opt for a direct OTT release and not waiting for the lockdown relaxation.
Rumour has it that the streaming rights of the movie were bagged by Amazon Prime Video, India and the movie would be streaming from May first week. If that happens, Jyothika’s movie is going to be the first one opting for OTT release.
Jyothika has become a brand for female-oriented movies in Tamil after she made a come back to films with ’36 Vayanidhile’. She took a sabbatical from films after her wedding with Suriya and dedicated her time for family and motherhood.
