Mega Power Star Ram Charan is currently starring in SS Rajamouli’s RRR. He is playing legendary freedom fighter Alluri Sita Rama Raju in the movie. While the actor plays a freedom fighter, he finds himself in the center of the controversy for insulting the national flag.
Charan is endorsing leading Mobile Retailer, Happi Mobiles. The brand has given an advertisement in leading Newspapers about the offers they have as Independence Day Special. Ram Charan is seen carrying the tricolor in the advertisement. But shockingly, the flag does not have Ashoka Chakra.
This amounts to a serious violation according to the Flag Code of India 2002, a few people say. Meanwhile, the company claims that the National flag can not be used for commercial advertisements but the tricolor can be used for ads by deleting the Ashok Chakra. So, they say it is not a crime.
Meanwhile, the RRR team is currently in Ukraine shooting for the last schedule of the film.
