The Enforcement Directorate has started the summons case in the infamous Tollywood drugs scandal case. Puri Jagannadh is the first one to get summoned in a four-year-old case with the ED questioning him starting from today, August 31. The filmmaker arrived with his actor son, Akash at the office.
The viral picture shows Puri Jagan being haunted by paparazzi as he arrives at the ED office. The filmmaker back in 2017 had denied any connection with the scandal. Apart from Puri, Rakul Preet, Rana Daggubati, Ravi Teja, Navdeep, Tanish and Mumaith Khan will be called up for interrogation.
While the ED is yet to get substantial evidence against the celebrities until then they would be treated as witnesses in the drugs scandal. The probe is being made in order to find out any links between the celebrities and the drug peddlers after money transactions are said to have happened.
On the work front, Puri Jagan is helming the pan-Indian film, Liger starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday.
