The second film in the powerful combination of director Harish Shankar and Powerstar Pawan Kalyan, has been announced long ago. Since then, we have heard multiple reports, but nothing really from the horse’s mouth.
Here is finally a new update from the director and the makers. A concept poster of PSPK28 is out. It is the caption that first attracts the viewer and then what’s on the poster. Gabbar Singh was a roller-coaster ride of entertainment. For the second time, the director promises there will be more than just ‘entertainment’.
Coming to the poster, the backdrop image of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Subhash Chandra Bose on the India gate catches our attention immediately. And then, the bike in front with the book and a rose changes the dynamic. The former seems to be the clue to ‘more than entertainment’ whereas the latter looks like the usual fun.
There will be tremendous pressure on Harish Shankar to top Gabbar Singh. We had previously mentioned (during the recent anniversary trend) that mere repetition of the past would be a disappointment. There has to be fresh, entertaining content and something edgy storywise along with it. The director has promised a serious emotional angle this time.
Will that change be enough and can Harish Shankar balance both ‘entertainment’ and ‘emotion’ will be crucial to movie’s success. It is a great challenge for the director that everyone will keenly observe.
