It has been a phenomenal weekend for RRR starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan. For the third straight day, the movie has collected over 30 Cr share in Telugu states which is mind-numbingly amazing. It has shattered the previous weekend’s best by miles.
In its three days, RRR has collected a share of around 140 Cr from Telugu states alone. To give it a context, that’s more than all Telugu films worldwide collections barring Baahubali 2, Baahubali and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Today, it will go last the last one making all the top 3 movies SS Rajamouli directorial.
The bigger and more significant news here is that RRR has sustained well on the first Monday. It suggests a good run ahead even if there is a little drop in the coming days.
In the rest of the languages too RRR has done exceptionally well over the weekend. The worldwide gross of all languages combined is gobsmacking 500Cr. And to think, RRR is only beginning its run. A clear picture is likely to emerge at the end of the second weekend.
