Knowing the range of superstar Rajini’s following, no one would have thought that a like this would come where the Basha wouldn’t get theaters for his film to release here in Telugu.
But the bitter truth is that no distributors are coming forward to take the Telugu Petta due its very poor profile. There is the effect of his previous failures, Kabali and Kaala, also the posters and promos badly failed to generate buzz in Telugu states. Now adding to the bad fate of the film, the Telugu straight films, NTR biopic, F2 and VVR have blocked most of the theaters for Sankranthi leaving almost no space for Petta.
Especially, in B,C centers, theaters share the screens for Telugu Sankranthi releases which makes it too hard to find one for a dubbed film, that too for Petta which is not likely to give any competition.
