This is one instance where Hansika Motwani’s ‘change of tune’ seems to have cost her dearly! Hansika was the first choice as leading lady opposite Ram for the movie, Pandaga Chesko. Hansika had reportedly agreed to a remuneration of `50 lakh for the movie, but suddenly demanded `1 crore after the film got underway.
While the reason why she demanded a hike in remuneration is unclear, the demand nevertheless came as a shocker to the producer, Paruchuri Kiriti. Hansika it is believed charges around `50 lakh for her Tamil movies. While there have been instances in the past when Tollywood producers have capitulated to such demands in the past, producer Kiriti decided not to humor Hansika and promptly replaced her with Rakul Preet Singh of Venkatadri Express fame.
Hansika has earlier acted with Ram in Maska and Kandireega and probably expected that the success of those movies would justify her demand. Gopichand Malineni is the director of Pandaga Chesko and the movie is expected to be a thorough entertainer along the lines of Don Seenu and Balupu
