For the unversed, a section of media was almost entirely focused on Sai Dharam Tej after he met with a freakish accident on the 10th of this month. Pawan Kalyan made a series of intriguing comments about the same while speaking at the pre-release event of Republic.
“The media was so really obsessed with Sai Dharam Tej’s accident. A media portal reported that Sai was travelling at a speed of 45 km/h and he was overtaking an auto before meeting with the accident. How is any of this relevant? Of what use is any of this to the common public? We are also humans. Have some compassion while reporting about us,” Pawan said.
Pawan stated that there are many more burning topics that are to be addressed. “Instead of crying foul on Sai, who is still in coma, media should cover news about how YS Viveka was murdered. They should cover news about how YCP leaders supported legalisation of prostitution. They should enlighten the public about the brutal rape and murder of 6-year-old child Charita,” Pawan added.
Well, it is easy to connect the dots. Telugu media house TV9 was the one which covered extensively news about Sai Dharam Tej’s accident and also analysed the incidents preceding the accident.
The media house repeatedly spoke about the bike accident and also made claims about the speed at which Sai’s bike was travelling. Their approach drew stern criticism from social media users as well.
Now, it is evident that Pawan is indirectly mocking the TV channel. His comment has come across as a cruel joke as the very same TV9 channel is the media partner of the Republic pre-release event.
