Pawan Kalyan in the past had happened to hit a film journalist at a family function. The issue flared up so much that a case was filed against Pawan and the journalist demanded an apology from him. Now after all these years, the matter has come to light as the journalist MD Abdul opened up on the incident in an interview.
The journo is a big fan of Chiranjeevi and happened to meet him four times, but he never got the opportunity to interview him personally. Throwing more light about Pawan hitting him, he says, “An engagement was going on at Mega family residence. I asked my camera person to go and halt at the place and wait until I reach so that I can take permission from Chiranjeevi to cover the family event”.
“But the cameraperson went inside the house without my knowledge and started shooting the event. When other people realized and informed Pawan Kalyan, the actor reprimanded and snatched away the camera and shooed him away. When I reached the venue, I came to know what my cameraperson went through. Later Pawan called me and questioned who gave us the permission. By the time I could explain anything, he hit me twice,” says Abdul.
“The whole incident turned into ruckus. We then filed a case against Pawan Kalyan demanding an apology. Despite this entire heated incident back then, I still continue to have a good relation with Chiranjeevi and other Mega family members. In fact this incident made me all the more popular among my fraternity as everyone was curious to know what had happened,” concludes Abdul.
