Jr-NTR-Pawan-Kalyan

After almost working with unknown and unheard before kind of directors in Telugu, for almost a decade (Trivikram being the only exception for Jalsa), Pawan Kalyan finally seems to be playing it safe. If one were a bit observant the actor has recently started to do films with director who have a success before or are at least known before the release itself rather than outdated directors like Bheemineni Srinivas Rao, Veerashankar and such likes in the past.

Taking a look back at some of his recent films we will notice that Pawan Kalyan has agreed to do Gabbar Singh after director Harish Shankar delivered a well accepted universal success like Mirapakai with Ravi Teja. Similarly the director accepted to do a film with Puri Jagannadh right after the success of Businessman from the director, it’s another matter that it released post disastrous Devudu Chesina Manushulu by the director. Finally his latest Atharintiki Daredi as we all know is director Trivikram’s next after the super hit Julayi. The thing to note here is that these directors’s had approached the actor before they had successes respectively but the actor committed to do those films only after a success.

Going forward too Pawan Kalyan has a film Gabbar Singh 2 director by Sampath Nandi who had Racha previously. And if the sources are to be believed the actor next after Gabbar Singh 2 could be confirmed to be a Vamshi Paidipally directed film, if the director scores a success with Yevadu. Looking at the past few projects mentioned above and the few coming up, it can be said for sure that the actor seems to have learned his lesson from the past mistakes and working with directors who have had a success at least. And hence following the likes of Mahesh Babu and Jr NTR, who have mostly worked with experienced director’s (Mahesh Babu more so than Jr NTR).

In defense of Pawan Kalyan it can be said that most of those director weren’t still big names or great shakes according to trade and box office success when Pawan Kalyan acted with them. But all said and done Pawan Kalyan has clearly moved away from his earlier ways. So how many of you think that it is for the good of actor or you think he should be back to his old ways?
